It's time for another bloghop!

Welcome to my little stop on the hop!
MemDay2013BlogBanner

Here's a thank you card made with some My Mind's Eye papers and a Cuttlebug die.  I kept finding myself too busy to make a card for this hop, so I was getting this one done just under the wire, but using a 6x6 paper pad really helped me pull it together quickly!

(EDIT: Many people have asked about the sentiment.  It's from Cuttlebug's With Gratitude die/embossing folder set, available here.  I'll punch an envelope full of the sentiments in different colors and offer them as blog candy for a random commenter since you all love it so much!)

This card started out based on OWH Sketch #144, but I took a few liberties.  Sketches are a great jumping off point!

Enjoy the hop!  Be sure to make some awesome cards for OWH this weekend!

  2. Lovely card- shades of orange and blue are getting to be some of my favorites together, and the brown ties it all together so well. I love the little twine bow. I was inspired by Sandy's 6 x 6 paper suggestion, too. The little owls in this paper are so cute! I'm very impressed with your contribution to OWH - I just started sending cards in April so I'm a real newbie.

  3. Kathryn pretty papers and colors, but I really like that touch of black with your punched piece along the side. It helps the rest of the black mats to really stand out. Enjoy your weekend.

What is DP that so many commenters are referring to?

    1. Go buy a 6x6 pad. They're regularly $4 at Michaels or ACMoore, so you can get one for $2 and change with a coupon. Everything inside goes together so nicely and using one will help you feel more confident in matching papers and patterns. These papers are all from one paper pad, so I didn't have to do any work to make sure they went together. Thanks for visiting!
