Unity Stamp Co Growing in Unity (GIU) Wednesday

Happy Wednesday!

This adorable Phyllis Harris girl gazing out a window reminds me of something going on in my neighborhood right now.  We're all placing stuffed animals in our front windows so that our neighbors with small children have something fun to look for when they go on neighborhood walks.  I think it originated from a children's book called "We're Going on a Bear Hunt" and it seems to be going viral on social media right now.  If you or your neighbors have small children, perhaps you could organize your neighbors to do the same!

Remember to leave a comment on this post, and on every post this week.  Unity Stamp Company graciously provides a grab bag of 25 stamps to two random commenters this week and every GIU week!   I'll have a prize that I'll personally send out to someone who comments and answers the question at the bottom of the post.

What fun hobby have you rekindled since having more time at home?  For me, it's been picking up a physical book to read!

I hope you are staying safe and well during this challenging time.

  6. Perfect for the current situation we are all in. As we are in the over 70's group, we are not allowed out at all, so the house is getting a major spring clean!

  7. This is a great card and it totally captures the leaving a stuffed animal in the window for the children in the neighbourhood to see. I wish I had some so that I could do it too. Looking forward to tomorrow. I haven't exactly picked up a hobby, but I do have more time to make cards and that is a bonus.

  12. Gorgeous composition and this stamp set is really lovely. Really, what Phyllis Harris set isn't?! Right?! lol What a fun thing for the kids to go on a walk and see stuffed animals lining the windows. Haven't seen that in our neighborhood.

  13. Beautiful card; I love the stamp! I too have picked up reading again, physical books not just card making blogs. LOL! I just can’t seem to get used to the idea of reading a book on a kindle or anything like that.

  15. I really like the composition of this card. Since I worked from home before the pandemic, and still do, I really have not had any extra down time.

  16. I really like the “wallpaper” walls. I still have not tried using pattern paper with my stamps but I like the look.
