This week's Tuesday Tutorial was making a hot air balloon and the Midweek Throwdown was to make a love or anniversary themed card. Here's a two-fer:
Since I didn't have any stamps of hot air balloons nor any patterned paper featuring them, I made my own from a circle and trapezoid of paper along with some ribbons. Anyone can play along with this tutorial with some creativity!

Cute! Love how you combined the two challenges :) Way to be creative!
ReplyDeleteVery cute and creative. Love the clouds in the background, too!
ReplyDeleteWhat an outstanding job you did and quite original. My mind would have never thought to do what you did. Your clouds, grass and sentiment are all beautifully done.
ReplyDeleteVery cool with the balloon! Love the grass also!
ReplyDeleteVery nice- I love how you made it work. I do not have many "tools" or machines and have to find ways to make things by hand. Love how nice this looks.
ReplyDeleteToo clever! It all works together so well, and how cool is it you could use it for two challenges? I also really love that sentiment!
ReplyDeleteKathryn -- I forgot to mention that you won the Martha Stewart button punch on my blog for the Worldwide weekend! Thanks so much for commenting! Now I just need you to email your post office mailing address to joann @ joannross dot com and we'll send it off to you!
ReplyDeleteVery creative! I wouldn't have thought of making a hot air balloon like this in a million years. Thanks for the tip! Love the papers you chose, especially for the basket... it really looks wicker. TFS!
ReplyDeleteSuch a darling card. Your balloon is so cute and the little bow on it just makes it!
ReplyDeleteLove it! I love your tree border. I just got an edge punch that does trees. I'll have to remember this trick next time I make a balloon card! Way to go! Way to combine your challenges, too! :)
ReplyDeleteGreat creation and love the cute balloon!
ReplyDeleteThis is such a pretty card, Kathryn; what a great idea for making the balloon! Great patterns.
