I'm back with a little Unity fun. I decided to make a baby card with Chick Challenge Sketch #38 for one of the many showers I'm attending this summer. Lots of friends and family members are expecting- it's so exciting!
The yellow "baby" text is a transparency overlay by Colorbok that I layered on top of the paper pieced stroller. I decided to use a photo corner shape instead of the semicircles in the sketch and I created some of them with paper punches by EK and Fiskars. I added some large American Crafts eyelets and tied up the brown satin ribbon from JoAnn into a simple knot.
When I visited the Unity blog today, I was super excited to see that my last CC card was chosen by the Chicks and I get to display the featured peeps badge. As soon as I figure out how to grab it, it will be in my sidebar! :-D

ReplyDeleteAdorable card design!
ReplyDeleteYour card is super cute, love the colors you used. Thank you for making cards for OWH, I have received several this year while my husband is deployed, and loved them all. I am now working on cards for OWH.
ReplyDeleteI love that you're making OWH come full circle, Eva. Rock on! And how great that your hubby is using the cards to keep in touch! :)
DeleteThis card is A.D.O.R.A.B.L.E. Kathryn! Thanks for joining in on my sketch this week at Chick Challenges! I love that transparency and how you paper pieced the carriagae...so ca-ute! Hey, here's how to get the badge on your blog: right click on the badge and save it to your desktop (as a png); go to your blogger layout and 'add a gadget'; scroll down to find add a 'picture'; then in the box find 'image: from your computer'; 'choose file' from where you saved it on your desktop; and once it appears, 'save' it! That's it!
