Oh, I've been having so much fun with this DCWV Crafty stack. Why did I let it sit untouched for so long? I've learned so much about combining patterns by using layers from Operation Write Home's great resources on cardmaking. I know I wouldn't have had the courage to put 6 patterned papers on one card before, but that's what I did here. The only true solid is the navy.
This card is based on Bonus Sketch #2 from OWH, listed along with #62 on their blog. Check it out here and also check out the whole sketch archive.
I'm also posting this card for the Midweek Throwdown- flowers. Not much of a challenge- I think half of my patterned papers have flowers on them! Thanks for taking it easy on us this week. ;-)
Thanks for visiting.

ReplyDeleteThis is a great card! I'm going to have to try out that sketch with my patterned papers again. Thanks!
ReplyDeleteYou did a great job mixing all those colors and patterns. Layering them with a darker color really works.
ReplyDeleteHi Kathryn! #62 is a fab sketch and I love how you used it! Great choices of DPs.
ReplyDeleteGreat card Kathryn! This is such a perfect example of how adding layers can really finish off a card beautifully. Thanks for supporting OWH!
